SC01Guide.com (“the Site”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

The short version: we collect very little. The Site is a static informational resource with no user accounts, no login system, and no database of personal information.

SC01Guide.com does NOT:

• Store VIN numbers entered into the VIN Decoder tool
• Store any text pasted into the SC Code Finder tool
• Use tracking cookies for advertising purposes
• Sell, share, or trade any user data to third parties
• Collect payment or financial information

3. VIN Decoder Tool

When you use the VIN Decoder, the VIN you enter is sent directly from your browser to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) public API at vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov. This request goes directly from your device to NHTSA. SC01Guide.com does not intercept, log, store, or process VIN numbers on any server. The build date estimation is calculated entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript.

4. SC Code Finder Tool

The SC Code Finder tool runs entirely in your browser. Any text you paste is processed locally on your device using client-side JavaScript. No data is transmitted to SC01Guide.com or any third party. When you close or navigate away from the page, the pasted data is discarded.

5. Theme Preference

The Site stores your light/dark theme preference in your browser's local storage (localStorage) under the key “sc01-theme.” This is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to any server. You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.

6. Hosting and Analytics

The Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect standard web server logs (IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) as part of their hosting infrastructure. This data is governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. SC01Guide.com does not have direct access to individual user data from these logs.

We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand general traffic patterns (page views, geographic regions, device types). These analytics do not use cookies, do not track individual users across sites, and do not collect personally identifiable information.

7. Third-Party Links

The Site contains links to third-party websites including EV-CPO.com, Tesla.com, NHTSA.gov, Tesx.net, Energized-EV.com, and others. When you click these links, you leave SC01Guide.com and are subject to the privacy policies of those respective sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Site, please contact us and we will take steps to remove such information.
